chapter 4 The use of exhibition space to create meaning

The context in which you view the work is often as important as the work so if the piece was in a gallery then it would be important because if it was in the town then it would not as important because people would not appreciate it in the town they would be focus on something else but if they were in gallery they know that it is important and they would concentrate on it more.

When I went to TATE I was looking at a piece called 30 piece of silver by Cornelia Parker it was good because she steamrolled over all the pieces and they were hanging from wire and it was 5 by 6 and it was very nice.
It is in a room by it self I thing it was because people walk in there and think about it more if there was other pieces of art then they would not give it the same attention and would not thing about it.
When you walk in the room I feel that you can not talk if you do then you have to whisper because I think that people I trying to concentrate on it.
The art makes me feel that I came wall on then like lily pads in the water this is because there is no other art to distract me.
