Chameleon Tina Gonsalves

Chameleon was art that we saw in Brighton.
the are was created by a woman called Tina Gonsalves.
the art wasn't really that good and most of it didn't work.

I thought the idea of people going to different reactions of how you feel is cleaver and interesting to now how she created it.
I did try and make the people do stuff but it didn't work, some of the people was over reacting
and they looked sad.
The way i think it was made was that Tina filmed the people and just posted it up and what ever reactions they had would go with yours.

Gisece Kerozene

Gisece Kerozene was made by french men in 1989

Gisece Kerozene was stop frame it must have taken a very long time to do because they had one scenes that was films for a whole day with the clouds moving then they had a lot of chase scenes bu they were doing the effect of flying so they had to jump every time so that must have taken a long time.

the hole film was a chase so instead of running and flying they have to jump and do Little steps every time but then it was put together it worked.

the concept of the film was three of the witches was worshipping a skull and another witch took it away and they chase him and in the end they got the skull back.

Doll Face by Andy huang

Doll Face was made by Andy huang and it was created in 2003

Doll Face was a 3D computer animation mixed in with real life footage.

doll face started of was a box in a room and there was a TV screen when the box opened a mechanic machine came out of the box but it Had a heal face of a woman she was pail and had no mack up on or any thing the TV came on and it was flicking threw the Channel's and it found her face with mack u on as she look some for mechanical hand came out and started to put mack up on her.

the TV went away from her and she came out of her box more to get to it then she put for mack up on and when the TV went further away she could not get to it she tried to get to it but she could not then she broke in her box.

so the concept is a woman tries to be what she sees on TV but goes to fare and brakes so it is people trying to be some thing they are not.

Muto a wall painted animtion

Muto a wall painted by BLU

it was filmed in France by a load of graffiti artists they done it with stop frame animation so if they done 25 frames of film it would only be 1 second of film it took them one week to make and they had to paint it on then rub it off then redo it at one point in the film one if the pictures was as big as a building this then would of taken a long time to do, because they were only using white and black the colour smudge and make the wall go grey but it still gave it a good effects. that is the craft.

The monsters that they did in the film would die and come back to life as something different, At the beginning of the film it was one thing (a person) which changed to different things in this film some of the monsters would kill them selves in one point of the video one of the monsters gives his head to another and he eats it.
this would make the viewer think of different things like is it over power? or something Else?

the film gives you your own opinion on what the film is based on.

chapter 2 use of technology, techniques and styles

With the technology in girl chewing gum they only have a camcorder but it was done in 1976 so they did not have that much technology to do it but they did add in the sound effects for some things they did have the technology but the quality of the film was very bad.

With doll face the technology was good for its time because with the craft they have animation technology and it was done in 2006 so it has some real qualities like the dolls face but the rest it animation so it was done on the PC.

The difference between them are girl chewing gum was done with a 1976 camera but it was still good for its time and was the context with in the filming the random people and doll face was new technology with a camera and animation.

with doll face and girl chewing gun they both have Strong concepts they have very different technology but there are both as good as each other.

chapter 3 narrative and non-narrative

a narrative film has a story line to it for example Gisele Kerozene dir when it starts they are looking at this skull and they all want it so they just fly around on brooms and get in to mischief and when they are flying around they crash and do stuff the bad one gets away and the good one goes after him in the end the good one gets the skull back.

With muto all they do is pant on the wall then do other one so it is stop frame animation it does not have a narrative they are just doing thing that are being he born.

So Gisele Kerozene Dir is a narrative and muto is non-narrative.

If some one was going to the cinema they would watch the whole thing but if u went to a art gallery you would watch it for a bit because the audience don't expect to watch the whole thing and they don't have a beginning, middle and end.

Chapter 1

when you compare girl chewing gun with doll face they are very similar because they are both perception of media girl chewing gun is perception of truth in the media and doll face represents beauty in the media.

They are both similar because they both lying for example girl chewing gun the guy who is talking is directing them but it turns out that he is lying and doll face is a fake image of something that you are not.

Also they are different as well because they are about different things doll face it about beauty and how someone would change to look like someone else and girl chewing gun is about a guy who is lying and direction some people in the street but they are doing there own thing.

chapter 6 audience interpretation

Experimental video has different reaction to different people because some people my find it scary, funny, serious or exciting. If every one had the same opinion then it would not be right. People should have there own opinion so if some one thought that it was funny and some one did not and they said out loud that it was scary you would not agree with them but you would if every one did. So i think that it is important to have your own interpretation of the video.

I think that my interpretation is important because if I thought that some thing was personal to me. I am my own person so if other people have there own opinion of the work then that is because they are different people with there own opinion.

my ideas chapter 5

I will be doing some thing with gaming but not playing the game but people playing it so i will be doing the effect of split screen so i will have two people playing and i will have there hands on the controller and a screen on there faces and of the TV screen.

they will be talking to each other playing against each other on a game and one of them will win and one will loose so it will be them two playing for the win and I will be filming there hands on the controller and there reaction on the gamer.
