chapter 3 narrative and non-narrative

a narrative film has a story line to it for example Gisele Kerozene dir when it starts they are looking at this skull and they all want it so they just fly around on brooms and get in to mischief and when they are flying around they crash and do stuff the bad one gets away and the good one goes after him in the end the good one gets the skull back.

With muto all they do is pant on the wall then do other one so it is stop frame animation it does not have a narrative they are just doing thing that are being he born.

So Gisele Kerozene Dir is a narrative and muto is non-narrative.

If some one was going to the cinema they would watch the whole thing but if u went to a art gallery you would watch it for a bit because the audience don't expect to watch the whole thing and they don't have a beginning, middle and end.

  1. Why do many art videos not have narratives? Think about where they are shown.
